Loved it.

I loved your usage of the script in Star Fox 64 in a diner situation. It was really creative and made me laugh. I love that game to death so I figured I'd write a review. Great work!

PuffballsUnited responds:

Glad you enjoyed it!

A good attempt, but severely lacking.

First of all, there was no pre-loader. With no preloader, you cut out a lot of quality. People with slow internet will have troubles watching if the movie moves faster than it loads, so they probably didn't even bother watching it.

Second, we've all seen cut-scenes like this before. Yes, it looks good, I'll give you that; however, it seems more bland than when it was first thought of. Some new ideas would be great.

Third, the sprite quality was horrible. They did not look pleasing to the eye--they were very blurry, and the background, though not moving, seemed to look alive in its low quality.

You DO have, however, a good sense of cinematography. The music choices and graphic tone set a good mood of "sorrow" at the end.

However, it doesn't make sense that Mario and Luigi were fighting, randomly, just for Mario to go too far and kill his brother and regret it. Though, like I said, that end part was done smoothly (mood wise).

I hope to see more of your work in the future, and I do hope to see you improve in the future. If you nurture your talent for creating intense or un-intense moods, you can prevail.

666animator responds:

Thank you for the constructuve critism! I think I'll take some of that into consideration. I put in a preloader!

You never fail to impress.

This one is definitely your best yet, afrodave. Although the Peanut Butter Jelly Time was a bit random, it fit in nicely. Your fights always inspire and look extremely well animated. Can't wait for the next one!

afrodave responds:

thanks buddeh XD

A little predictable, but still good.

Though this isn't a completely original idea (and I'm sure you get a lot of crap from other users, so I'll be quiet for now), you definitely pulled off good things that other SMB Mishap parodies often fail at.

That is, a good flow of animation. You produced a smooth, long movie worthy of calling itself a Mario Parody. Most of these 'Mario Mishaps' flash movies tend to be poorly animated or only include two or three scenarios. Not here, buddy. I commend you on that.

If it can be told, what frame rate (fps) did you use for this movie? DrHood like. :D

All in all, keep up the great work. I hope to see more from you in the future!

Golden-Fox responds:

thanks for your review. The frame speed that's played in this movie is at 30fps.

As for your other commentary, It is true at the fact that most Mishaps movie are poorly animated. And this one was made well. I'm gonna make better movies though then just a stupid Mario Parody. Thanks for your review, Dr. Hood.

You've certainly got style.

A style I like a lot, in fact. I've seen some of your other submissions before, and I'm impressed. You've got the talent that a lot of long-time sprite animators still don't have. By this, I mean your work is very smooth and original -- You don't use ideas that have already been overdone and make a sprite animation that keeps the viewer captivated by how good the animation is. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more from you soon.

afrodave responds:

Let's hear it for constructive criticizm!!

Anyway, I'm glad you like my work. You see, the secret is to use 24 fps. That way it's smooth, but not difficult to work with. By the way, I'm open for suggestions, so if you want to see two classic robot masters fight, pop me an email.

Wow.

Definitely one of the better sprite movies that I have seen. You had good fight scenes, nice plot, and a good use of backgrounds. Keep up the good work.

DanyLaporte responds:

:D hey thx!!! One of the best sprite movies....lol...I wouldnt say it was that great but...Ill accept ur comment :P ( sorry for my english :P )...the fight scene was made by SquareHard! Thats why it is so great!!!
Thx alot for the review!!!

Good work.

Looks good, but the fights don't seem fluid enough just yet. I suggest upping the fps to at least 24. Watching a series such as this makes me want to work on my own sprite flash once again, especially because I did had some similar things in mind. Oh well. We shall see how it turns out.

Flik.

Hell-Fire responds:

Flik

Thanks. I may up the FPS but it wont be to 24. Thats insane for sprites. Thanks for voting

Good work.

You've put out a nice start to this series, keep it up. And of course, be sure to make more intricate battles. I await the next in the series.

MasaAndMune responds:

yea, i will put way more battle scenes in ep.2 of the series, thx for the review!

A pretty good CS:S movie.

As a CS:S player I believe you got the different situations that come up in a game of CS correct. Great job.

Greyfox999 responds:

Thankya!

Finally some more Beebo

I can't believe what score this flash currently has on it. This is on par with the original Beebo animations by fabulous999! I think people must have thought it was going to be shit, but it wasn't. You've got fabulous999's style of Beebo perfect, keep it up.

Lambtaco responds:

I think the score has now can be attributed to the factor of seeing something labeled "Beebo" not by fabulous999 and voting zero automatically. The score should go up now that people aren't looking for blam points.

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?
